Several Cowgill and Polo Firefighters went to this eight hour class on Vehicle Fire Fighting. The first part of class was to go over the classroom material, then after lunch we put on bunker gear and air packs to practice what we learned.

Key Points:
- Different vehicles have different dangers
- Assume the vehicle has dangerous cargo
- Approach at 45 degree angle with full gear and air packs
- Straight stream underneath vehicle to flush fuel and remove heat
- Use fog to push heat and toxic smoke away so another firefighter can chock vehicle
- Put out compartment fire
- Use fog to push heat and toxic smoke away so another firefighter can open engine hood
- Put out engine fire
